An ongoing series of books, monographs and studies in Andean archaeology by Vincent R. Lee, MFA, author and editor. An architect in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Cortez, Colorado, he has devoted the past 21 field seasons to archaeological explorations, mapping and related documentation of numerous ruin-sites in remote areas of the eastern Sierras of Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia. Especially interested in pre-Hispanic architecture, he has conducted various design studies and experiments in megalithic construction.

A graduate of Princeton University, he is a Member and Research Associate of the Institute of Andean Studies at Berkeley, a Research Associate with the Museum of Man in San Diego, a Fellow of the new York Explorers Club, and a former professional mountain guide and long-standing Member of the American Alpine Club.

His work has appeared in Ñawpa Pacha, Andean Past, Tawantinsuyu, The Rapa Nui Journal, the Explorers Journal, the South American Explorer, Northern Lights and (in Spanish) the Boletín de Lima and Kuelap, the scientific cultural bulletin of the Peruvian Department of Amazonas. His work has been featured in two NOVA "Secrets of Lost Empires" television specials, "The Incas" and "The Rapanui of Easter Island."
